Nicole was the first person that we met when we came to ODU. She and Scott connected over their mutual love for and experience at Camp Willow Run. If you ever ask Scott about CWR though, be ready to spend a few hours chatting about it.
I still remember the first time she came into the BCM talking about “Chad”. Chad was a nickname for Tyler, a boy who she met in the outdoor club. Though, not originally the guy she saw herself with, through spending time with him and appreciating who he was… she fell hard and fast. They were dating not too far from when they met and we’ve been loving the two of them ever since.
Nicole is an extrovert, one that you grow to love and appreciate immediately upon coming into contact with her. She’s beautiful and kind. She loves adventure and though she has girly qualities to her, she’s not afraid of getting dirty or jumping in the mud. She’s not much for gossip, but instead would rather be deeply connecting with you over some great food or a picnic on a mountain. Tyler is quiet and wise. Though, don’t be fooled, he’s actually quite hilarious when you get to know him. He’s also very soulful – smart and kind. He loves adventure just as much as Nicole, and together they make the perfect pair.
They both love their families, the outdoors and finding new and exciting things. They would honestly travel the world together 24/7 if they could, but alas Tyler spends his days putting his engineering degree to work while Nicole cares for sick kids as a wonderful nurse.
It was fitting of course to have their engagement session in one of their favorite places, Grayson Highlands. Grayson highlands is located in southwest Virginia – it’s the base of the highest altitude in Virginia: Mount Rogers. As you walk around the state park, you’ll find ponies, beautiful views, wildflowers and amazing places to camp. It’s an incredible place that you’ll only really be able to feel the magic if you visit. I’m thankful for the afternoon and evening I was able to spend with these two as we adventured from Blacksburg to Grayson Highlands.
Stay tuned for their actual wedding post!
