I can’t say enough about Booth and Hannah, I just can’t. They’re fantastic people.
I remember when they first started coming to our life group at Crossroads. They were both on the more quiet side, but as they jumped into our community, we got to know them better, watched them get engaged and now ultimately, celebrated their marriage with them.
There are two beautiful things about all of that.
The first, is that it is such a joy and a blessing to walk with a couple as they’re discerning a call to marriage. It was especially beautiful to watch Booth and Hannah. You see, as soon as they did get more comfortable around us, and even some before – they’re always excited about one another. Whenever we went around the circle and we shared our “highs and lows” of the week, Booth’s were almost always involving Hannah. He was either feeling low because he didn’t get to see her as much as he’d like, or his “high” was that he enjoyed some particular event or time with Hannah. He always gushed about her, not feeling any shame for seeming emotional or anything like that. It really blew me away and almost set a precedent for the rest of the group that ladies should be cherished. I’ll always admire and respect Booth for that.
The second, is that community is incredible. Many times throughout the weekend I heard the families talk about how incredible the friends of Booth and Hannah are, and how much that matters. They’re right. Community matters. Although, I feel like our community was enriched by Booth and Hannah… ha! I’m not sure how much enriching we did for them, but I can say that I hope that we did. Either way, watching community surround these people and watching them surround their communities and celebrate them was just a special part of the weekend that was the celebration of Booth and Hannah.
The day itself was perfect. I cried only two or three times. Hannah was stunning in her amazing gown, and you could tell that Booth was the happiest man in the entire universe. Once they were married and finally saw each other, they didn’t stop smiling all night. They way they look at each other is incredible and inspiring. They’ve worked so hard in their relationship, and waited a long time for the right time to get married, they deserved the fairytale wedding day that they had.
The Main was incredible. I can’t really gush about it enough. The modern beauty of the model with all of the natural light is a win/win. There are endless spaces, and the staff is incredible, friendly and accommodating. They bent over backwards to make sure the couple was happy, and that the guests were happy. The other vendors did a fabulous job and everything was flawless.
This will be a wedding that I’ll never forget for a lot of reasons, but most of all, because it was Booth and Hannah. God is writing them a fabulous love story that will shape and change their family for generations. I can’t wait to hear about them winning the anniversary dance at their great-grandchildren’s wedding.
