Just so happy.
That’s the best way to describe Allyson. Seriously – she’s just that happy. She loves being around Josh, she smiles at him all the time. She’s so excited about the day that she’s finally able to stand in front of her family and friends and commit her life to him.
I love Josh and Allyson – both Scott and I knew them individually before they ever started dating. They were both kind people, always going out of their way to serve others. They have a similar story to ours… kind of a “will they, won’t they” sort of deal. They were friends first, flirted at points and finally called it official after awhile of getting to know each other a little more romantically. They sometimes even debate on what the first date was – was it friendship? or a date? But I think that the best marriages begin with friendship. After all – isn’t romance “friendship set on fire”?
They came all the way out to the Hampton Roads to visit us and do their engagement session on the beach. We enjoyed some beautiful light, the sun, the trees and of course, love.
I love the way these two are together – it’s sweet, hilarious and tender.
Based on my time with them, getting to know Allyson better as we chat about wedding things and our history – I know their wedding day in Roanoke at Braeloch is just going to be absolutely incredible and I can’t wait for it!
Josh and Allyson – it’s an honor to serve you.
